TV Shows Tag

I stumbled upon this tag over on Kayley Hyde's YouTube channel and decided to have a go at it! Some of these questions can be filled into an eternity but I decided to do my best to keep it some what short so there for some (well many) favs in different areas will be missing.

  1. Favorite Shows?
Woooooooow...WOW...Ok I am going to try and not use up all of my post space for this question...
Walking Dead, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Z Nation, Hannibal, True Blood, Heroes, Lost, Firefly, Hemlock Grove, OZ, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Scream, Daredevil, Arrow, DC Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Black Sails, The 100, Dexter, The Expanse, Teen Wolf...I'm gonna stop now but yes I have more.

  2. Favorite Genre?
Horror and Sci-Fi. If they are mixed in a pretty nerdy ball it's even better.

  3. Least Favorite Show?
But I don't watch shows if I'm not 11000% in love...

  4. Most Rewatched Show/Favorite Show To Binge Watch?
Gilmore Girls and Hannibal. I watch both on a regular basis. I've rewatched Hannibal 10 times this year already...I may have an addiction. And Gilmore Girls has been on loop ever since I bought the box many years ago.

  5. Do You Prefer Watching Things Week-By-Week or Binge-Watching?
If it's a show I'm re-watching then the only way to go is Binge-Watch. I got my routines down for that one. And I'm real slow to check shows out so it always starts with a binge-watch.
If it's a show that's still airing (for example Walking Dead) I prefer it week-by-week. It's a huge motivation for me every week and I know I'll get a nerdy fix that day. So I get torn to say the least when Netflix releases a whole season with some of their shows.

  6. Favorite Television Characters?
I just got hit my a million fangirl feels in a split second haha...I have my darlings in each fandoms but here's a few:
Castiel, Papa Winchester, Crowley, Lucifer and Dean (Supernatural).
Negan, Daryl & Rick (Walking Dead).
Jon, Daenerys & Arya (Game of Thrones).
    Spike (Buffy The Vampire Slayer).
Alcide, Eric Northman, Sookie (True Blood).

  7. Favorite Television Ships?
    Luke and Lorelai (Gilmore Girls).
Buffy and Spike (Buffy The Vampire Slayer).
Angel and Cordelia (Angel).Rick and Michonne (Walking Dead).
    Hannibal and Will (Hannibal).
    Eric and Sookie (True Blood).

  8. Show You Could Never Get Into?
I honestly can't think of one. I've been a fangirl my whole life meaning I know what I'll enjoy and what I won't so 10 out of 10 shows I check out I do watch. It's more common I fall out of love with one for different reasons as the show progress.

  9. Show You Fell Out of Love With?
Vampire Diaries. I was in love up over my ears for seasons with this show but then I just hit kind of a "meh" level. And I've tried rewatching it more than once and the same thing happens.

  10. Cancelled Too Soon?
Firefly!!! I will never forgive you FOX, NEVER!

  11. Guilty Pleasure Show?
I watch a lot of shows but none is a guilty pleasure. That's what I love about fangirling, there's always a crew of all fandoms out there :)

  12. What Are You Currently Watching?
As of right now since most of my shows are on hold it's all about Game of Thrones, yes I'm behind hush now. I am also currently watching The Mist, Outcast, Damien, The Defenders and also thinking about rewatching Lost.

I would love it if you linked me if you jump on this tag!
To get it started I'm tagging the lovelies: Tania, Cassie, Angela and Ashleigh!

Have you ever watched or gamed something and all of the sudden for whatever reason at the time there is this certain quote that just etches into your damn mind, your very heart and soul. You fall in love with this quote. You know what I mean? I got a ton of quotes that I carry with me and many of them are of course nerdy. Here's six nerdy quotes that I adore.

What are some of your favorite quotes?
I'd love to hear them! Maybe I'll find a few new good ones.

The Harry Potter Tag

I was tagged by Cassie who has revamped The Harry Potter tag! I also got tagged by the lovely Tania so a shout out to her too, read her answers over here.

I am a huge HUGE Harry Potter fan and the perks of being in my age is that I did grow up with the books and movies while they were still being released and written/made. I was smacked in the middle (happily so) in the Harry Potter era.

1. What house are you in?
I have always been a Slytherin. I became obsessed with that house straight away and every test I have ever taken through out the years has put me in Slytherin.

2. What is your patronus?
I've always believed mine to be either a wolf or a cat.
But I took a test and turns out it's a Granian Winged Horse. Which I ain't gonna lie, pretty badass.

3. What is your wand?
10 inches, Blackthorn wood, Dragon heartstring.

4. What would your boggart be?
Either something symbolizing my trypophobia or a massive graveyard with all of my loved ones on the tomb stones.

5. What position would you play in Quidditch?
Probably a beater, especially in my younger years. I had a lot of anger issues I could've used back then and I could channel into it being older as well.

6. Would you be a pure blood, half blood or muggle born?
Well considering the size of my family, meaning relatives like cousins, aunts & uncles etc there's bound to be a mix so half blood.

7. What job would you want after to have after graduating Hogwarts?
With the animal life they have in that world I would work with animals. Either studying dragons or unicorns. Or mythical creatures in general across the world. Imagine to get the chance to travel around documenting their life and photograph them. Dream mode on...

8. Which of the deathly hallows would you choose?
The invisibility cloak. That would be real handy when my social anxiety hits!

9. Favorite book?
Prisoner of Azkaban. Sirius and Remus arrives and that is all I need, baby.

10. Least favorite book?
I'll have to go with the first two. Not for any super negative reason but I've outgrown them I suppose one could say.

11. Favorite film?
But I love them all! I'll have to go with The Half-Blood Prince because if I just jump in watching only one (which always leads me to watching them all anyway hehe) I always choose that one.

12. Least favorite film?
Same here like with the least favorite book.

13. Favorite character?
Sirius Black. I have loved that character since he arrived in the books, even before you learn the truth about him.

14. Least favorite/most hated character?
Umbridge.
Now there is a person who I would allow to meet my more aggressive and love-to-fight younger self...

15. Favorite teacher at Hogwarts?
Remus Lupin. I can just see myself loving his classes and favorizing him as a teacher. I'd aim for teachers pet there hehe. eheheheeeeeee.

16. Least favorite teacher at Hogwarts?
Umbridge...My fire burns with hate for that bitch.

17. Do you have any unpopular opinions about the series?
I think the most unpopular opinion with me is that I love Fenrir Greyback. Which roots back to Sabretooth from X-men being a childhood (and still is) favorite. Greyback reminds me a lot of Sabretooth and I don't mean the Liev Schreiber version in Wolverine. I've always been very weird even as a child, ok...

18. If you could save one character from the finale battle who would you save?
ONLY ONE?!?! Can I use the time-turner and save more while the other me's save others?

6 Of My Pet Peeves

  1. When shops put nerdy stuff in the wrong category.
And they do that, a lot, especially on China sites like eBay or Ali Express. My most recent one was shops (yes more than one) putting Fallout 4 stuff among Harry Potter things. They also had Mortal Combat among Game of Thrones...Like I get ya'll wanna make a sale but dude, no.

  2. People who demand respect but give none back.
In my experience this usually happens when there's either religion or opinions involved. You are allowed to your own religion along with your opinions, it's your human right. But do not come to me demanding respect when you are being a disrespectful bitch towards me for not sharing any of it. If you want people to accept you, you in return have to accept differences back, it's a two way street.

  3. Cutting in line.
If you think you can cut in line while I am in it and me not saying a word...Baby, you are dead wrong.

  4. People saying they will "do it" and then don't.
If you think you won't have time or can't do it for some reason then tell me straight away. Don't tell me a week after it should be done leaving me stressing through it to get the shit done.

  5. Sales people who won't take "no" for an answer.
It's your job to be pushy and try to make a sale, this is your way to earn money I get it. But please learn that no is a no. And it's even more of a fucking pet peeve if the person gets aggressive like they're trying to make you feel like a bad person.

  6. People who clearly can't drive but do it anyway.
If you can't handle being behind the wheel then get the fuck out. Not only are you risking your own life but the life of others.

Warsaw Through Instagram Stories

Well hello there! You've probably noticed already but I took a little time off the blog and the main reason being that I've been traveling and spent a week in Warsaw! So I thought I'd share some Instagram peeks with you today from that trip. It's been a long time since I posted a post with this length so prepare yourself.

1) We arrived and checked into our hotel early on our first day so we started with visiting the Saxonian Garden, having a lunch picnic.

2) Yeah, I need to learn how to not having to have my whole closet and not outfit panic while being away...It was complete chaos on some mornings.

3) A random fact about me is that I love parks so visiting Łazienki Park which is the largest park in Warsaw was a must for me during this trip. Not only is the nature stunning but it holds amazing buildings as well. I highly recommend going if you ever visit Warsaw. And I made a lot of little squirrel friends, yes squirrels.

4) We visited a few museums one being the Museum of Pawiak Prison. I highly believe that if you mentally can handle visiting places like these it's important. It is a part of a very dark and heartbreaking part of human history but it's so important to learn and see it with your own two eyes. No matter how horrible it was and still is for the human race it must never be forgotten.

5) We had awesome weather. It was super hot most days and not as much rain as the weather reports kept showing, on the colder days it was still warmer than home. With the lack of Summer here in Sweden it was welcomed even by me who don't handle heat that good. I even got some color on my ghosty white skin.

6) We got hooked on this channel! All they showed was Korean drama and we got so hooked ending up watching it every night before bed along with every morning getting ready for the day. I've always preferred Japan drama and been more on the horror when it comes to Korean but there was just something about it that kept pulling me in.

7) We attended The Army Museum. This was the fifth day and both my feet and back had beginning to hurt, a lot. But I kept on walking and we just sat down and rested more when needed the last few days.

8) We decided after lunch which was a long walk but so worth it because we ate the best damn sushi I have ever eaten (along with finding a random comic book store in the middle of nothing) to sit down in a cool downed coffee shop (Costa forever in my heart yo). I filled up my coffee meter and my friend had a cool drink.

9 + 10) I loved Warsaw but the love that landed in my heart for Old Town there, my gosh. This was the area that I took my time saying goodbye to because I deeply fell in love with it. We spent Saturday night having a dinner picnic in the middle of it while waiting for it to be time to head to the Multimedia Fountain Park.

11) Saturday night we came back late after the show by the fountain. I had a foot bath and then spared my feet a bit by wearing this cheesy hotel slippers.

12) Like it says, one of the few buildings left of the old Jewish ghetto. It was on the way to certain things from out hotel and I snapped more photos with the camera. You can still see bullet holes from WWII in some of these buildings and they stand in the middle of all that's new around them.

13) We had breakfast every day along with our hotel room. Living and eating is really cheap in Warsaw so we stayed at a five-star hotel. The breakfast was all good but I was disappointed they had no lactose-free choices...All I wanted was some soyghurt yo. Also if you just want regular coffee then it's the kawa option.

14) We visited The Royal Castle on Sunday because it was free entrance that day so we thought why not. Don't do that. We stood in a long line for at least 1 hour and the inside was a bit meh, we both had expected more. There were some sections closed off during that day so I'm curious how much more you get to see if you go on a non-free day.

15 + 16) Last day in Warsaw and even if things didn't go as planned it was a good day. We ended up at Złote Tarasy (a shopping mall) deciding to try out going to the cinema. But before that while waiting we had some nomnoms at Green Nero Cafe. One of the best baguettes I've ever eaten, it was so damn yummy!

17) We decided on the new Spider-Man movie to watch. I am actually not the biggest fan of Spider-Man but it was good. One of my travel must-do's in the future is going to the cinema, just for fun to see how it is compared to Sweden.

18) Very early morning, our plane took off around 6:05AM so we left the hotel around 4AM already. I managed to get about 20 min of sleep so I passed out in my bed soon as I arrived home, not happy about being home.

I will post at least one or two photo posts in the future. Luckily I could use my friends camera who I traveled with this time since I only own a dslr camera which I find clumsy to bring with me on longer trips. I am going to invest in a small camera soon since mine are used to the point of almost not working.

If you made it through this whole post, hi! I am impressed you got through all that stuff because this became a hell of a lot longer than I thought it would.

Games I Own But Haven't Gamed Yet

I am currently on my yearly summer vacation off work, meaning 4 weeks where I'm free as a bird. And like every year ever since I bought my first Playstation I game. A lot. I go to bed like 5AM every damn day yo.

I am currently hooked on The Division again and I'm running around in the DZ zone like there's no tomorrow. So all the games I planned on finally gaming during these four weeks haven't been gamed, as usual. So I thought a Games I Own But Haven't Gamed Yet post was due.

This is in a Games I Want To Play post that I posted over two years ago. I own this game. And I fucking love Alien but I haven't gotten around to gaming it yet. What is wrong with meeee? This is probably the most shocking one out of the three games in this post.

Newest released game by Betheseda. A game I pre-booked and skipped on down to Gamestop being really excited to finally get my hands on it. Have I installed it and checked it out? No, it's still in the plastic. I do this a lot. Mainly because I'm always all "Just gonna game this a bit..." and a bit doesn't exist in my world when it comes to gaming.

This game is in the same post that I mentioned related to Alien: Isolation. I bought it on Steam during their Christmas sale 2014 but I haven't gamed it yet. Probably because I hate gaming on my PC...So I should buy it for my Playstation and maybe I'll finally get around to gaming it.

What games do you own but haven't gotten to gaming yet?
Because I sure fucking hope I'm not alone in doing this...

I usually know if I'm going to game it straight away or not when buying it but I am one of those people who want to own a game that I know that I really wanna game. So that if I want to jump into it in the middle of the night, I can. I know you can purchase and download games through PSN Store but I'm a memory hoarder. Memory space is precious shit and I do not waste it if I can help it. It's gold, baby!

10 Quick Planning Tips!

  1. Use washi tape to make flags, layer and so much more. Just folding it and cutting is an easy way to make a flag (or an arrow).
  2. Save loads of money by buying stickers and washi tape etc on sites like Ebay or Ali Express.
  3. Pre-plan with help of sticky notes. It's great if you like me enjoy to use a permanent pen and stickers while planning.
  4. Fill empty spots out with motivational quotes or decorate it with cute stickers.
  5. Want some color in your journal? Why not skip your regular black pen and use one with a little color?
  6. In need of inspiration? There are loads, loaaads, of Plan With Me videos on YouTube!
  7. Since we're on the inspiration seeking part, Instagram is awesome. Why not have a little planningspo in your feed?
  8. Decorate your planner with washi tape? Use a credit card (or any kind of card in that form) to rip off the edge easily and straight.
  9. Printable stickers. If you have a printer, why not print out some stickers for your planner? If you plan in a style that allows you to put in your own planner inserts there are loads of those too.
  10. Hand lettering. There are many techniques that are real easy to do when it comes to hand lettering stuff. Check out YouTube and I'm sure you'll find more than one way to make it a little something extra.

If you want to read more planner related posts, check these two out!

10 Quick Random Facts About Me #2

I wrote my first 10 Quick Random Facts About Me post back in July last year so I thought closing in on the one year mark for that one that it's time to write another one.

  1. I love to write! And I don't just mean blog posts. I write a lot and have since my teens. Because I love it but also because it helps me cope with my mental health etc.
  2. During a normal week I spend at least 28 hours gaming, meaning 4 hours every day. Some weeks it's less and some it's a hell of a lot more.
  3. I am not a big fan of the Holidays. Only one I actually do want to celebrate is Halloween and I do even that one at home! Halloweek is one of the best damn weeks of the whole year yo!
  4. I keep my nerdy clothes in a separate closet. Because geeky leggings and tops are taking over my home...Please don't send help, it's okay because I will die happy.
  5. I was born on Friday The 13th. So my parents always says that it's a "lucky day" in our family.
  6. I obsess super hard, super fast especially when it comes to nerdy stuff like characters.
  7. If I could have any pet, real or fantasy, I would have a Xenomorph. Yes the alien from the Alien movies. Love dragons, obsessed with unicorns but give me a Xenomorph.
  8. I'm a obsessive gamer. Like for real, I'm fucking serious. I hit critical obsessive level fast if I enjoy a game and can re-game it over and over aaaaaand over.
  9. I don't feel comfy anxiety vise if I don't got something nerdy on so if I wear an outfit that's not I always have nerd related underwear or a necklace on. It doesn't have to be showing to calm my not-so-normal nerves down.
  10. My two favorite foods are pizza and sushi. I never seem to get tired of those two.

Guest Post: Why I'm A Sam-Girl

Hi! I got asked by my beautiful and talented babysister to write in her blog as a guest.
I am everybit the nerd she is (who do you think introduced her to the world of fangirling?)
Also, my husband is getting a bit sick and tired of having to be my outlet when I get into a ramblingmode...

Spoiler Warning!
This post contains spoilers and if you haven't watched up to at least
Season 5 of Supernatural you will get spoilers. You've been warned!

Some of the reasons why I'm a Sam-girl.

So, I've been watching Supernatural from the get go and I wouldn't call myself anything other than a die-hard fan. People in my vicinity would fully agree...I'm a 34-year old fangirl. But above that, I'm a Sam-girl.

Here are some reason's why.

In season 1 Sam shows us that he, despite having been brought up in a dysfunctional family (to say the least), can stand on his own two legs. He broke free, followed his dream and made a life for himself. I've never seen it as a betrayal towards Dean. It's normal for a family to encourage it's younger members to fly solo, not normal to bitch and moan about it...

He never feels sorry for himself. In season 2 when his visions hit even harder, sure he's scared, but never searching for pity. He stands tall. This season also has the episode "Heart"...and my own heart will never be the same after having watched Sam do what has to be done...

In season 3 and the whole mess with Dean having sold his soul to save Sam, he never ever gives up searching for answers to save his brother from hell.

In season 4 we see him from a whole other angle. Letting loose his demons. Walking the edge. Showing us the darkness buried deep inside. He has his heart in the right place but circumstance and bitches with black eyes lead him down the wrong path. But I still love him.

In season 5 he never tries to make excuses for what he's done. He faces the consequences full on. This season has a scene with him and Dean that actually sum's up why I'm not a fan of Dean. In the end of "Sam, interrupted" (ep11) Sam reveals how he really is feeling on the inside. If my sibling came to me with all of that I would set aside everything and just listen for a while. Dean's response is: "...you're gonna take all that crap and you're gonna bury it. You're gonna forget about it! 'Cause that's how we keep goin'..." The look on Sam's face breaks my heart every single time. But he stays with his brother. In this season it seems as if everyone is forgetting about the fact that Sam's struggling. We mostly get to see Dean's struggle with his emotions. And it honestly pisses me off.

I could list the rest of the seasons one by one, but I'll likely start to ramble. So here's a summary:
He breaks, puts himself together, grow stronger, struggle with himself, struggle with the world, breaks again, looses himself, finds himself, looses his brother, tries his best to move on, gets his brother back, is blamed for having left said brother behind (when all he did was trying to stay alive).

He is also left behind, betrayed by his brother and forgives.

He is a badass, he is smart, a fierce lover and a good friend.
He knows what he wants. He also knows what he has.
Oh, and he fought the devil and won...

He is pure. He is light. He is darkness. (Now I'm getting all sappy...)
I could go on...but I wont.

So there you have it. The ramblings of a Sam-girl(woman).

100 Something More Movies To Watch

There are so many watch worthy movies out there so I decided to give you another list. Do you enjoy them? Do you wish them to keep on coming? I actually decided to make this one in alphabetical order. Mainly because my OCD could not deal with that shit...I might go back and edit previous posts too because damn.

But this isn't a post about my mental health so here's 100 Something More Movies To Watch!
