Guest Post: Why I'm A Sam-Girl

Hi! I got asked by my beautiful and talented babysister to write in her blog as a guest.
I am everybit the nerd she is (who do you think introduced her to the world of fangirling?)
Also, my husband is getting a bit sick and tired of having to be my outlet when I get into a ramblingmode...

Spoiler Warning!
This post contains spoilers and if you haven't watched up to at least
Season 5 of Supernatural you will get spoilers. You've been warned!

Some of the reasons why I'm a Sam-girl.

So, I've been watching Supernatural from the get go and I wouldn't call myself anything other than a die-hard fan. People in my vicinity would fully agree...I'm a 34-year old fangirl. But above that, I'm a Sam-girl.

Here are some reason's why.

In season 1 Sam shows us that he, despite having been brought up in a dysfunctional family (to say the least), can stand on his own two legs. He broke free, followed his dream and made a life for himself. I've never seen it as a betrayal towards Dean. It's normal for a family to encourage it's younger members to fly solo, not normal to bitch and moan about it...

He never feels sorry for himself. In season 2 when his visions hit even harder, sure he's scared, but never searching for pity. He stands tall. This season also has the episode "Heart"...and my own heart will never be the same after having watched Sam do what has to be done...

In season 3 and the whole mess with Dean having sold his soul to save Sam, he never ever gives up searching for answers to save his brother from hell.

In season 4 we see him from a whole other angle. Letting loose his demons. Walking the edge. Showing us the darkness buried deep inside. He has his heart in the right place but circumstance and bitches with black eyes lead him down the wrong path. But I still love him.

In season 5 he never tries to make excuses for what he's done. He faces the consequences full on. This season has a scene with him and Dean that actually sum's up why I'm not a fan of Dean. In the end of "Sam, interrupted" (ep11) Sam reveals how he really is feeling on the inside. If my sibling came to me with all of that I would set aside everything and just listen for a while. Dean's response is: "...you're gonna take all that crap and you're gonna bury it. You're gonna forget about it! 'Cause that's how we keep goin'..." The look on Sam's face breaks my heart every single time. But he stays with his brother. In this season it seems as if everyone is forgetting about the fact that Sam's struggling. We mostly get to see Dean's struggle with his emotions. And it honestly pisses me off.

I could list the rest of the seasons one by one, but I'll likely start to ramble. So here's a summary:
He breaks, puts himself together, grow stronger, struggle with himself, struggle with the world, breaks again, looses himself, finds himself, looses his brother, tries his best to move on, gets his brother back, is blamed for having left said brother behind (when all he did was trying to stay alive).

He is also left behind, betrayed by his brother and forgives.

He is a badass, he is smart, a fierce lover and a good friend.
He knows what he wants. He also knows what he has.
Oh, and he fought the devil and won...

He is pure. He is light. He is darkness. (Now I'm getting all sappy...)
I could go on...but I wont.

So there you have it. The ramblings of a Sam-girl(woman).

100 Something More Movies To Watch

There are so many watch worthy movies out there so I decided to give you another list. Do you enjoy them? Do you wish them to keep on coming? I actually decided to make this one in alphabetical order. Mainly because my OCD could not deal with that shit...I might go back and edit previous posts too because damn.

But this isn't a post about my mental health so here's 100 Something More Movies To Watch!

The Evil Within 2 + Other E3 News from Bethesda!

So as many know it's E3 times in the gaming world! Yesterday a very lovely announcement with an even lovelier trailer was released from Bethesda during their press conference. The Evil Within 2!!

Now ya'll know my obsessions when it comes to games and most also there for know that The Evil Within is one of my favorite games ever. So to say that I am super crazy happy over this is an understatement. It's being released in October already too so no years of waiting either! The trailer itself is amazing.

Another announcement from Bethesda, since we're on the topic, is that Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is released October 27th. I actually very much enjoy these games so October is a happy gaming month for me! If you want the more gaming part of the trailer, jump to 1:50!

They are also releasing Fallout 4 VR So in other words I may just spend that shit load of money to get myself a VR...because Fallout. YES. Just yes. Fallout 4 VR was first announced last year but without a release date (like most game announcement these days) but this is also being released in October.

And last but not least DOOM VFR is available later this year, no specific date was said so I don't have any more details at the moment. I'm a DOOM girl yo so this is just yet another reason for me to invest in a VR...We'll see what happens. I can already hear my nerdy budget screaming in agony...

The Gamer Tag

So I did the Geeky Girl Tag by the lovely Cassie and I mentioned in that post that I had spotted a Gamer Tag she's made as well. And here it is, kitties!

1. What is you gamer tag?
HowlingWolfHeart. If it's available I grab it.

2. PC or Console?
Console when it comes to gaming for sure. I've never been comfy with gaming on my PC.

3. Console of choice?
Playstation 4.

4. Handheld of choice? (DS, PS Vita, etc.)
I don't own one. But I suppose a Nintendo 3DS because that's what I've been looking into when nearly getting one. I don't own one because I already spend soooo many hours gaming every week. I would be gaming 24 7 if I had a handheld.

5. Keyboard or Gamepad?
Gamepad for sure! Ask anyone I am the most awkward gamer when it comes to a keyboard. It's a miracle my hands don't snap off while gaming...

6. Singleplayer or Multiplayer?
Singleplayer. There are very few games I prefer multiplayer on. Unreal Tournament and Left 4 Dead 1+2 are the only ones that I prefer to game with others.

7. What was the first game you have ever played?
Super Mario for sure.
But like I was so young then I can't remember it clearly but I'm pretty sure that's it.

8. Hardest game you have ever played?
Hardest? Wow...I don't know. I find myself skipping through all games I try easily even if the level is on the highest...I suppose Outlast is a valid answer to this one because I haven't been able to finish the first one...Reason being that for some damn reason it scares the fuck out of me, stresses me out and I usually turn it off because my anxiety level hits critical.
Which is funny because horror never usually gets to me.

9. What was your first gaming system?
Nintendo 8 bit.

10. What is your favorite game of all time?
The Last of Us. I could go in very deeply into why that is but I have already so many times. It's common knowledge that I am obsessed and in love with this game. I actually bought my PS3 so I could game this.

11. What game is currently your favorite?
My current favorite...I would say The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Because I've been gaming that nonstop for 3-4 months.
Bethesda games always hit my obsession nerve, yes I'm looking at you Fallout.

12. Favorite video game genre?
Horror forever in my heart, baby. Unless you enjoy and can deal with horror there is no use in borrowing a game from me because that's what I have. Besides a few exceptions like Deadpool, Riddick and other "fandom" games.

13. Favorite video game character?
Joel Miller. And yes many of these questions will jump back to my Last of Us obsession.
You can check out my post about My Favorite Male Gaming Characters for more

14. Which video game character do you hate most?
The Suburbs Sniper in The Last of Us. That dude pisses me off on all levels.

15. What new game you are most excited for?
The Last of Us: Part II. Like there is nothing else I want more than that, that I need more than that.

16. Favorite video game company/developer?
I'm gonna have to post two on this one. I love Naughty Dogs because they gave me The Last of Us. Sorry not sorry I keep coming back to that game. But other than that I'm not that wow over their games, like I've gamed through one of the Uncharted games but meh guess it's fine.

But also Betheseda because they have the most games that I've fallen hard for. Fallout, Skyrim, The Evil Within, Doom...I can try any game of theirs and be 99% sure I'll love it.

17. What gaming systems do you currently have?
Except my PC (that I never game on) I have a PS3 and a PS4.
Looking into getting another one so if you have any tips let me know!

18. How long have you been gaming?
I did game when I was a little kid and I have fallen for a few PC games but I didn't really get into gaming to the level of calling myself a gamer until a few years ago which was when I bought a PS3.

19. How long was your longest gaming session?
I suppose this means a gaming session when you've only stopped a quick minute for the bathroom + grab some snacks (I eat while I game even if it's dinner etc)...Probably when Fallout 4 just came out, I think I sat for 27 hours straight or was it 28 hours...

20. What game have you clocked the most time on?
Pretty sure that's Fallout 4. It's either that or Fallout 3 because I never seem to get tired of any of them (I obsess over New Vegas as well) so I always have a current game going on. It's the same with Skyrim.

The Questions If You Want To Jump On This Tag!

7. What was the first game you have ever played?

Crystal & Quartz Home Decor

I don't know about you but I love crystals, quartz, stones and most when it comes to that area. I don't collect them as much like I used to, which kind of sucks and need to be fixed...I am in the middle of re-doing my bedroom (yes again no judging) and I am moving towards a more bohemian kind of feel to it meaning I am surfing the web after Crystal & Quartz Home Decor. If not for buying then for inspiration.

You can actually make many of these things yourself with the right material and if you enjoy DIY. I know I will since I like taking what's already made and make it myself, to add that personal touch to it.
